"JOURNEY THROUGH SYMBOLISM"

OCTOBER 2019 - DECEMBER 2019

During this project I was working with a historical ruinous building to explore
its relation to its surroundings anddevelop understanding of contemporary
culture and conservation of ruins. The aim was to design an intervention
that would enable visitors to explore parts of Hardwick Old Hall. I designed
a viewing platform inspired by symbolism related to Hardwick Old Hall and
Hardwick New Hall.

"JOURNEY THROUGH SYMBOLISM": About

During this project I focused on the history of Hardwick Old Hall.
I did a research on the most meaningful symbolism for Bess of Hardwick
and incorporated it in my design to create a viewing platform that would
take visitors to the most important parts of Hardwick Old Hall.
